THE PRE-VISIT

At this point, you’ve browsed my service packages and booked your first visit. Can’t wait to meet you! If you’re not sure you booked the correct service, don’t worry. Within 48 hours, I’ll be reaching out to you to confirm and snag some info from you to make sure we are on the same page ahead of time. If we need to make adjustments to your booking, that’s when we’ll do that. After that, sit back and relax until it’s our time to meet!

 

Day of, arrive comfy! This is your time to relax. I just ask that you avoid bulky sweatshirts and turtlenecks as well as anything you would hate to get color on. Of course, I take precautions, but to be safe, maybe don’t wear your fanciest dress! If you can, neutral colors are best for after photos so as not to fight with your new beautiful hair. When you arrive, you’ll find that Lush + Lather has free street parking, both along Colorado Ave right out front and along 14th Street, off to the side. Park wherever you feel comfortable! Then, come on up the steps (don’t worry, it’s not locked, the door handle is just original to the 1800’s so it’s a little sticky!) We’ll have good music playing, a comfy spot just for you, and snacks and drinks to keep you fueled while we gab away and beautify you up. See you soon!

THE CONSULTATION

The most common thing I hear when a new guest sits in my chair is that they haven’t had a stylist that will actually listen to them. They ask for an inch off and get 5 removed instead. They ask for soft highlights and get yellow chunks. Sound familiar? If so, first let me just say I’m so sorry you’ve experienced that! Here at Bethany Dawn Color, I aim to be different.

 

Starting with, I’m here to listen and serve you. We’re going to start with a detailed consultation where I’ll get a sense of your hair concerns and struggles, what your goals and inspirations are, what your budget is, and what your maintenance is like both in terms of how you style day to day and how often you like to get your hair done. Then, I can lay out the game plan. Overall, I will be honest with you. If I think a color and/or cut is not going to work well for you, I’ll tell you the truth and most importantly, I’ll tell you why. But, I won’t just tell you no, I’ll tell you what would be better! There are always options. And we’re not just going to talk about what we’re doing today, we’ll establish the maintenance plan for your desired look, so that you are fully on board with the commitment. Then, I can get to work bringing it all to life!

AFTER GOODBYE​

Alright, we made it! We established your goals, talked through the reality of all that entails, and finally made it happen. Now you’ve texted your partner they better take you out tonight cause you look too good to hide away, you’re walking out the door head held high feeling your best self, but how do you maintain that feeling?  I got you!

During the style, I will have explained to you what I’m doing and how you can recreate the look at home. But, if you have questions afterwards, you can always reach out to me and I’ll be happy to shoot some tips your way. When it comes to washing, if you received color, please wait at least 48 hours to wash. This allows time for the cuticle to seal back down and lends to best color longevity. Before you strutted out the door, I gave you a prescription with my favorite products to maintain your look and a couple of samples so you can try them for yourself! If we weren’t able to get your next visit booked out already, you can head right back here but instead of navigating the New Guest page, you’ll pop on over to the Loyal Guest page and quickly be directed to booking! If you have any concerns after our visit, please reach out within 7 days so I can adjust accordingly, completely complimentary.
